Keswick is one of the unincorporated communities in the Albemarle County of Virginia. The fact that it is unincorporated does not minimize its importance. In fact, Keswick has retained its natural environment and is an awesome destination for travelers that want an escape from the hustle and bustle of modern life. It boasts of breathtaking views of the Southwest Mountains nearby.
Keswick is located approximately six miles to the eastern side of Charlottesville, VA. It has no central business district and is generally residential in nature. Keswick remained an undeveloped area until the 1990’s, when the post office was built. This post office serves Keswick as well as other small towns surrounding it including Rosena, Cash Corner, Whitlock, Cismont, Cobham, Lindsay, Boyd Tavern and Stony Point.
